Privacy Policy

5Star (5star.co.in) is operated by R97 Media, based in Hyderabad, India. It is a service that replies to Google reviews and publishes posts to Google Business Profiles on behalf of the businesses that subscribe to it. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. Plain language, no legalese where we can avoid it.

What we collect

  • Account details you give us: your name, business name, email address and WhatsApp number.
  • Business details from your onboarding questionnaire: your services, your preferred tone and how you talk to customers. We use this to write replies in your voice.
  • Google Business Profile data: your business location, reviews and posts, accessed through the official Google Business Profile API after you connect your Google account.
  • Website content, if you buy a website build: the text, images, services and business details you give us to build your site, plus the domain and hosting configuration we set up and maintain for it.
  • Payment information: handled entirely by Razorpay. We never see or store your card or bank details.

How we use Google data

When you connect your Google account, we receive an access token scoped to managing your business profile. We use it to read new reviews, post replies you have approved (or that qualify for automatic posting under your plan), and publish posts to your profile.

5Star's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as needed to provide the service you signed up for.

What we never do

  • We never sell your data to anyone.
  • We never post anything sensitive without your approval flow.
  • We never ask for your Google password.
  • We never use your data to train AI models. Review text is sent to our AI provider only to generate your specific reply.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore). Access tokens are stored encrypted. WhatsApp messages are delivered through MSG91, and transactional emails through Resend. If we build and host a website for you, its content and files are hosted on Firebase Hosting (Google Cloud).

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the site is used, in aggregate. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or sell your data for advertising.

Deleting your data

Cancel anytime and your Google connection is revoked. Message us on WhatsApp or email us and we will delete your account data within 30 days. You can also revoke 5Star's access yourself at any time from your Google account permissions page.
